The Berwick Family Relationship Centre opened on 2 July, 2007 and is one of 40 Family Relationship Centres across Australia. The Berwick Family Relationship Centre is location at 1-2, 38 Clyde Road, Berwick, Victoria. We offer services to communities in the City Of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Bass Coast region and the Shire of Cardinia. Our outreach service located at Davey House in Wonthaggi, and offers services to the community living within the surrounds of the Bass Coast. It operates on Thursdays from 9am until 5pm. The Centre is overseen by Relationships Australia Victoria, along with our consortium partner Windermere Child and Family Services.
The Berwick Family Relationship Centre assists families through separation. Offering child focused information sessions and confidential assessments in preparation for family dispute resolution and the preparation of parenting plans. We also act as a pathway to other services offering referrals to Early Intervention Services, such as family relationship counselling and family therapy, groups for parents, men and children and adolescents and legal advice.
Our team of staff comprises of the Centre Manager, who builds capacity to meet client demand through diligent professional development of all staff, the establishment of strong networks with government and non-government service providers and also ensures that individual client needs are met.
Client Services Officers, who support clients through the initial service requests and ascertain which services are best suited to each clients needs.
Family Relationship Advisers, who meet with each client individually to discuss there needs and help them negotiate through and prepare for the process of dispute resolution.
Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners offer their skills and knowledge to assist clients in reaching agreements and negotiate a parenting plan which will address the unique needs of their family.
And, Community Liaison Officers, who engage with the other services within the community to share information about the services we offer.
We have wheelchair access, and a computer and telephone for clients to research and contact other services.
