Greensborough Family Relationship Centre

The Greensborough Family Relationship Centre is managed by a longstanding collaboration between Relationships Australia Victoria and consortium partners Centacare Catholic Family Services and Berry Street Victoria. These organisations have been established in the area for many years and provided services to more than over 40 suburbs in North Eastern Melbourne.

The Centre is in a central location, within walking distance from the Greensborough shopping centre and train station. It offers an innovative approach to providing information, referral services and family relationships services including family dispute resolution for families experiencing difficulty in their relationships. All services are provided in a safe and secure environment.

The services available include:

a 'clinic' resource appointments schedule
information and education services
free computer facilities
parenting after separation seminars on a weekly basis
family relationship advice
family disputes resolution

The Centre also provides a range of early intervention services including:

counselling
parenting workshops
men and Family Relationship programs
referral to programs and services to match the client's needs

The hours of operation are 9am to 5pm five days per week, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays the Centre is open until 8.30pm. The Centre has a range of booklets, fact sheets and other information available to the public.

The Centre is managed by FRC Manager, Shane Quinn, and assisted by three client service officers, who make the bookings. The Centre also has four family relationship advisors, one of whom is bilingual, who provide assessments, preparation for family dispute resolution and parenting seminars.

It also has five family dispute resolution practitioners some of whom are part-time and/or bilingual who can provide the dispute resolution process in appropriate matters. The Centre also has a community development worker, who liaises and provide a linkage with the community and other service providers in the region.
