Noarlunga Family Relationship Centre

The Noarlunga Family Relationship Centre provides referral and resources to support relationships as well as family dispute resolution for families following separation and divorce. We have a variety of resources available for people wishing to explore a range of relationship issues and we are able to refer to a wide range support services.

All family dispute resolution sessions provided by the Centre are child focused. This means that the needs and best interests of the children are considered as the primary focus of the dispute resolution process. The Centre is also able to offer child inclusive practice.

Child inclusive practice is where the family dispute resolution process includes an appropriately qualified practitioner spending time with the children to seek their experience of the situation and provide feedback to their parents/caregivers. It is only undertaken in appropriate circumstances (eg. when it is safe to do so, the child is at least five years of age, all parties, including the child, agree, and the practitioner/s believe that it will assist the process) and is not used to side with one or other of the participants.

All clients undertaking family dispute resolution will, as part of the process, be asked to join a child information session to assist them in considering the priorities for their children as they prepare to reach an agreement.

The Centre is close to public transport and has ample on-site parking. There are a number of other community services nearby such as legal practitioners, and health and counseling services. Information on childcare options during the family dispute resolution process is available at the Centre.

Some ‘out of hours’ appointments for family dispute resolution and child information sessions are also available.
