Nowra Family Relationship Centre

The Nowra Family Relationship Centre opened in July 2007. The service is managed by a consortium of Anglicare and Centacare.

Anyone seeking information on relationships or family relationship services is welcome to drop in to our Berry Street premises, ring or email us. Our fully trained and experienced family service advisors will assist visitors to clarify their needs and access appropriate information and services.

Separated or separating families will usually be offered further assistance through an appointment with our family dispute resolution practitioner. The focus of the post-separation services at the Centre is to assist care-givers to develop parenting arrangements outside adversarial processes and in the best interests of their children.

In order to support care-givers to understand and meet children’s needs after separation, the Centre runs a ‘Kids in Focus’ information session every week. The child consultant can also meet with children as part of the family dispute resolution process. Indigenous service advisors are available to assist Aboriginal clients to access Nowra Family Relationship Centre services.

The Centre aims to be flexible with its service delivery and by coordinating with our outreach workers in Bega, Moruya and Ulladulla, we deliver services for clients in the Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega shire areas. Where geographical access is an issue we can refer you to other services that can assist you.
