Townsville Family Relationship Centre

The Family Relationship Centre in Townsville provides Family Dispute Resolution services and information and referrals for families living in and around the Townsville area. The centre has a micro-hub in Mt. Isa and provides outreach services to the following locations:

• Ingham
• Ayr
• Charters Towers

We support families and individuals to find out about and use other services in the local area that may also be of assistance.

The Centre can assist separating or separated parents in a number of ways, including providing:

• information sessions about Family Dispute Resolution
• individual interviews to help identify issues and options, and focus on the needs of their children
• joint sessions for separating parents to help them reach agreement on parenting arrangements and  creation of a Parenting Plan for families.

The Centre has a welcoming atmosphere with an open plan reception, a café, an enclosed children’s play area, and a bookstore selling books with a diverse range of topics including families, parenting, separation, and personal development.

The Centre also has a library open to all members of the public, with a range of books regarding families, parenting, separation, and personal development. Located within the library area are telephones and computers for those wishing to access information about relationship and parenting issues. 

The Centre is located on the ground floor with good access for clients with disabilities or mobility issues. There is off street parking available.
