Wagga Wagga Family Relationship Centre

The Family Relationship Centre in Wagga Wagga is managed by a Consortium of local not-for-profit organisations providing related services: Relationships Australia Canberra and Region (lead agency) and Centacare. 

The Centre is staffed with experienced, qualified professionals who are able to provide high quality, impartial and confidential services.

The Centre provides information for people at all stages of family relationships who may require help to make decisions about their family and do not know where to go to get it. Families are encouraged to drop in for information and resources to support their family relationships, or alternatively, the Centre will send out information. 

Referral services are offered to all families wishing to access services best able to meet their needs.  The Wagga Wagga Family Relationship Centre has cooperative arrangements and linkages with many  local services and agencies to support families having difficulties in their relationships, to strengthen their relationships and/or offer services for separating or separated parents.

The Centre assists families to negotiate their way through separation or divorce and supports parents to reach agreement on parenting arrangements outside the court system.  As part of the family dispute resolution model,  group sessions are undertaken to help separating parents focus on children’s needs and facilitate developing parenting plans. 

The Wagga Wagga Family Relationship Centre offers:

• information and referral
• one-on-one assessment with a clinical practitioner
• Family Dispute Resolution services
• early intervention programs and workshops
• regional outreach support from Griffith, Leeton, Tumut and Young (to be advised)
• resource library
• friendly professional support and advice.
