Mount Gambier Family Relationship Centre

The Mount Gambier Family Relationship Centre provides information, referral and advice to families experiencing relationship difficulties and assists separated families to work through their parenting issues without involving courts.

We help people at any stage of their relationships – before and during marriage or partnering, separation, divorce, parenting issues. We are here for all people in our community – women, men, individuals, couples, siblings, gay people, grandparents, family groups, people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander background and people from a non-English speaking background.

Our staff are experienced social workers, counsellors and trained in Family Dispute Resolution, offering impartial and, non-judgmental services for women and men. The Centre is run by Anglican Community care - which has been operating in the local community for 22 years - working in partnership with Relationships Australia and Centacare.

Family Dispute Resolution

Couples in the process of separating or who have separated can use the Family Dispute Resolution service to help you come to an agreement on issues to do with parenting. Family Dispute Resolution services are child focused where the needs and best interests of the children are considered as the main focus of these sessions. When using the Family Dispute Resolution service parents will also need to attend a Child Focused Information Session (each parent to attend a separate group session).
