Mackay Family Relationship Centre

The Mackay Family Relationship Centre is a source of information and confidential advice for families at all stages in their life. Whether you are starting a relationship, wanting to make your relationship stronger, or having relationship difficulties, the Centre can help.

Funded by the Australian Government, the Mackay centre opened its doors on 1 July 2008 and is currently staffed by a Senior Practitioner, two qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, a Community Development Officer, two part time Intake Officers and the Centre Manager. Our qualified and experienced team will be able to offer confidential and impartial services in a welcoming, safe and confidential environment.

The Mackay Family Relationship Centre is equipped with facilities for children, free internet access to help you find more information online and a resource library. Many of the services are either free or offered on a sliding scale, according to your level of income. Through providing information or referring you to services in your area that can help, the Centre can help families strengthen relationships as well as deal with relationship difficulties.

Where families separate, the Centre provides information, advice and dispute resolution (such as mediation) to help people reach agreement on parenting arrangements without going to court.
